User Data Deletion Instructions
Compliance Document for Meta Platform & Privacy Regulations
Your Right to Data Erasure: In accordance with Meta Platform Terms, GDPR, and Indian DPDP Act guidelines, DhandhaDesk provides transparent mechanisms for business owners and end customers to request the complete deletion of their account data and WhatsApp message logs.
1. Scope of Data Subject to Deletion
When you submit a verified data deletion request, the following information is permanently removed from our production databases:
- Business & User Account Profile: Owner names, phone numbers, email addresses, password hashes, and team staff credentials.
- WhatsApp Authentication Tokens: Meta WABA connection credentials, Phone Number IDs, and encrypted session secrets.
- Customer Message History: Inbound and outbound message text, conversation threads, media links, and assignment logs.
- Store Information: Shop catalog, custom auto-reply rules, and configuration settings.
2. How to Request Data Deletion
Method A: Self-Service Account Closure (For Merchants / Account Owners)
- Log in to your DhandhaDesk Portal at /login.
- Navigate to Dukaan Settings → Account & Security.
- Click on "Delete My Account & WhatsApp Data".
- Confirm your decision via the two-factor authentication (OTP) verification sent to your registered owner phone number.
Method B: Email Request (For Merchants or End-Customers)
If you are an end-customer who messaged a shop using DhandhaDesk, or a merchant unable to access your portal:
- Send an email to: support@dhandhadesk.com (or our compliance desk: [SUPPORT EMAIL]).
- Subject line:
Data Deletion Request - [Your Phone Number / Shop Name] - Include the WhatsApp phone number or registered email associated with the data you wish to delete.
- Our compliance team will verify your ownership of the contact handle and confirm execution within 7 business days.
3. Data Deletion Verification & Timeline
- Immediate Revocation: Upon verification, your WhatsApp webhook connection is immediately decoupled and authentication tokens are invalidated.
- Production DB Purge: Production database records are erased within 48 hours.
- Backup Cycle: Encrypted system disaster-recovery backups overwrite deleted data automatically within their standard 30-day retention cycle.
- Confirmation Notice: A confirmation email with a unique Deletion Reference ID will be sent to you upon final execution.
